Abigail Long

Hi, my name is Abby, and I am one of the graduate assistants for writing support in the Learning Center. I graduated from Shippensburg in 2021 with a bachelors in history and decided to stay at Ship to pursue a master's in counseling! I am a Certified LGBTQ+ Affirmative Coach. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, boxing, hiking, and spending time with my three dogs.
Samuel Pittenger

Hello! My name is Samuel Pittenger. I work as a writing graduate assistant in the Learning Center. I graduated with my bachelors degree in psychology in Spring 2023. Outside of work, I love to play video games, watch TV, and spend time with friends.

Hi, my name is Cecilia. I am a psychology major and a writing tutor for the Learning Center. I am currently a senior and hope to continue my education with a master's in applied psychology. In my free time, I like to read, hike, and travel.
Brooke Curran

My name is Brooke and I'm a tutor in the Learning Center for both writing and political science. I am a senior and also work as a First Year Experience UNIV 101 peer anchor. Over the past year, I held an internship in Harrisburg and mentored 20 European students who studied environmental issues at SU. I love listening to music and spending time with my two golden retrievers.

Hello! My name is May and I am excited to be a writing tutor this semester! I just graduated from Shippensburg in the spring and am continuing my education here this year to get my master's. I live in Shippensburg with my two cats, Ladie and Spoons (the loves of my life). I love writing, playing piano, camping, and drastically changing my hair every month or so. Post graduation, I plan to go into criminal justice research and policy, specifically looking into the modern problems within the correctional system.

Hi! My name is Kylie and I am a writing tutor at the Learning Center. I am a junior here at Ship and I’m pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am also currently working towards a minor in International Development-Education and Psychology. Some other things I enjoy are reading, hanging out with my friends and family, and traveling!

Hi! My name is Henry Mooney, and this is my second semester as a writing tutor in the Learning Center! I'm currently a senior Comm/Journ student. I'm also working towards a minor in Marketing. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, playing bass guitar, and cooking! In the future, I hope to get a job in marketing design or something related to music.

Hello! I am Luke Rainey, and I am an undergraduate writing tutor at the Learning Center. I live in Harley Hall as a second-year student. I am a staff contributor and assistant copy editor for The Slate, as well as a member of the university's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. Hi, my name is Edward, and I am a writing tutor. I am currently a sophomore computer science student. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and petting the animals on my family’s farm. In the future, I hope to get a job in software development, and I hope to use my minor to travel to Germany.
