Exercise Science Minor
The Exercise Science Minor is for students interested in learning about human movement, how the body responds to exercise, and the benefits of an active lifestyle. This minor is a great supplement to several different majors and can help prepare you for graduate school or a career, plus it will guide you towards becoming a fitter, healthier person.
What Will I Learn?
All Exercise Science Minors complete core coursework in the basics of exercise, physical activity, and exercise physiology. Beyond that, students have the flexibility to choose 4 additional courses from the various sub-disciplines in Exercise Science, such as motor behavior, nutrition, injury care, exercise psychology, exercise programming, and more. This flexibility allows you to tailor the minor to fit your personal and professional goals
What are the requirements for this degree?
Students interested in declaring the Exercise Science Minor must meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate Student
- Overall GPA of 2.00 or higher
The minor requires 19 credits across 6 courses, and you must earn a grade of C or higher in all courses to complete the minor successfully.
