Current or Returning Students
Room selection will be restarted at 9 a.m. on February 22, 2024. Students can review the details in the MyHousing portal within their MyShip for room selection processes. As long as students sign up by the posted deadlines housing is guaranteed for four years. Shippensburg University has a two-year requirement housing policy. Housing does change on an annual basis, so it is important to follow the housing instructions. Housing is accessed, reviewed, and completed in the MyHousing portal within the students MyShip account.
Returning students usually arrive after incoming students each semester and request early arrival and break stayovers each year. Important housing dates are listed on the housing calendar. Students are asked not to arrive during incoming student check-in days. Students are emailed break and closing bulletins with important housing information. Students will receive a Winter Break Bulletin and End of Year Closing Bulletin.
Students can process room changes after the second week of classes each semester through the residence life staff. If a student checks out before the end of the housing agreement period they must complete a withdrawal from residence hall form, room condition report (RCR) return air conditioner remotes in Mowrey and McLean Halls, and turn in the room key to the residence life staff of the building. The mailbox key should be returned to the CUB UPS Store. We also recommend notifying the academic dean and turning in your student ID to university police.
