Luhrs Center

The H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center is a premiere facility and a highlight of the region. Its 1,500 seat theater attracts nationally renowned performers and speakers for events as diverse as symphonies, Broadway shows, national business conferences, dance companies,  theatrical touring companies and more. 

Ideally poised for artist-in-residence programs, the center includes a choral and instrumental rehearsal room, practice rooms, classrooms, a large practice studio, a green room for visiting performers, dressing rooms for both VIPs and large touring companies, and more. There's also a food-service area and a banquet and reception space, making the center ready to host a wide variety of events.

State-of-the-art sound and light technology, along with a keyboard laboratory, music library and a music classroom add to the creative and educational opportunities available to Shippensburg's students. Our Performing Arts Center is a truly unique facility that allows students to learn, create, and perform at a professional level.
