Arts and Museums

Shippensburg University is committed to preserving and presenting the arts and making them available to the Shippensburg Community. 

These things are dual purpose, because our students are curating these museum experiences, they’re contributing art to the gallery, they are working in the fashion archives and museum, they’re doing this work as they learn, we are providing a culturally rich environment for the community as well.

The H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center is a premiere facility and a highlight of the region. Its 1,500 seat theater attracts nationally renowned performers and speakers for events as diverse as symphonies, Broadway shows, national business conferences, dance companies,  theatrical touring companies and more.
