Wood Honors College students enjoy dynamic classes with the university’s top professors. Honors classes are limited to 20-25 students, which allows for greater interaction between students and professors, lively discussions, and creative assignments. Honors classes also offer opportunities to extend your learning outside the classroom, such as field trip experiences to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Paris, France. |

Honors students also benefit from priority registration privileges. Priority registration ensures your access to your preferred class schedule each semester because you select your courses and professors before other students. |

The Wood Honors College Living-Learning Community (Honors LLC) brings together the Honors academic, community, and residential experiences. Students take classes together, live on the Honors floor in the residence hall, and participate in meaningful extracurricular programs. Honors LLC students build strong relationships with their Honors peers as well as with Honors faculty and staff. Wood Honors College students are eligible to apply for Honors scholarships to support their undergraduate research, creative, and service-learning projects; their participation in U.S. and international study away programs; and their travel to Honors conferences. Learn more here! |

Wood Honors College students have studied abroad around the world, most recently in Australia, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and South Korea. Honors students also have the opportunity to participate in the unique Honors study away programs in the United States and around the world. Scholarships are available to support students’ participation in these programs. Learn more here! |

The Wood Honors College provides grants to support students’ research and creative projects. Honors students have many opportunities to present their research, creative, and service-learning projects at regional and national conferences. Students’ travel to conferences is also supported by the Honors College. |

Honors students can get involved with Reach Out, the Wood Honors College’s international service-learning program in the Dominican Republic. The Honors College has a partnership with a school that serves very low-income children in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. To enhance the quality of teaching and learning at our partner school, Honors students develop curricular materials and raise funds to purchase needed supplies. They travel to the Dominican Republic each year to work directly with teachers and students at our partner school. Learn more here! |

Wood Honors College students are members of the Honors Student Organization (HSO). The HSO includes fourteen standing committees, ranging from Activities to Honors Read to Wellness. HSO committees organize numerous events each year to support and build community among Honors students, including the annual Honors Pumpkin Carving Contest and Honors Spring Celebration. Students can get involved in many ways, either by participating in HSO meetings and events or serving in a leadership position as a committee chair. Learn more here! |

In addition to your major advisor, you will also have an Honors advisor who will help you navigate the Honors curriculum and learn about other Honors and external experiential learning opportunities that are right for you. The Wood Honors College also hosts advising programs like Pizza with a Prof, where Honors students meet informally with faculty over a pizza dinner to discuss career opportunities, and workshops to assist students who plan to apply to graduate and professional schools. |

The Wood Honors College has nearly 900 alumni, and they have gone on to successful careers in diverse fields, including technology, medicine, law, engineering, finance, media, and education. Honors alumni are incredibly committed to supporting our current students’ success. Among the ways that students can connect with alumni is through our Apple Pie with Alumni series, where Honors alumni meet with current students to discuss their career paths and how the Honors College helped them achieve their professional goals. |

Honors students' transcripts include the Wood Honors College designation. Students also receive a Wood Honors College medallion to wear at university graduation ceremonies and recognition in the graduation program. |
