Marcy J. Douglass  completed her Ph. D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with an emphasis in school and family collaboration at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA in December 2005. She obtained her M.S. in Counseling amd Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College, Pennsylvania. She is a Licensed Professional School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).  Her work experience is comprised of counseling in a variety of settings including schools, hospice, and corrections. Her most recent positions were as a school counselor/psychologist at the Center for Autism in Newport News, Virginia and an adjunct instructor in counselor education and women’s’ studies at the College of William and Mary. Other experiences include family counseling and special education teaching. Dr. Douglass’ doctoral dissertation explored the mother-daughter relationship and its significant impact on the growth and development of adolescent daughters. She is currently serving as the Clinical Director for Growing Edges Community Clinic, the university liaison to the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation, and a faculty advisor to Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society). Dr. Douglass has also been a Clinical Supervisor since 2007.
