Department of Political Science

Shippensburg University is located between the state capital and the nation’s capital, making it an ideal place to study political science and gain experience and access to all levels of government.

The Political Science Department offers several undergraduate programs, a Master of Public Administration, and support for the Pre-Law program.

Our students thrive from having strong networking opportunities, close relationships with expert faculty, a large alumni network in Harrisburg and DC (who hold careers in state, local and federal government, lobbying, law/courts, public sector agencies, not-for-profit and private organizations), an impressive government documents collection in the campus library and opportunities to travel and study government on an international level.
