Physics Resources

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) offers quite a bit of information on current trends in physics, and the role physics can play in modern society. It is also home to a host of professional physics societies, many of which are listed below.

  • Acoustical Society of America
  • American Association of Physicists in Medicine
  • American Association of Physics Teachers
  • American Astronomical Society
  • American Crystallographic Association
  • American Physical Society
  • Optics Net, a service of the Optical Society of America

The AIP is also home to the Society of Physics Students, a group promoting the development and interests of students in the sciences - primarily Physics.

Other Sites of Interest

Here's a great site for astronomical images and links to other Astro sites: the SEDS site. By the way, SEDS stands for "Students for the Exploration and Development of Space."

More:

  • American Journal of Physics
  • IEEE: Advanced Technology for Humanity (Electrical Engineering)
  • SPIE: International Society for Optics and Photonics (Photonics: almost everything related to light.)
