Dr. Ray and Mrs. Marjorie Sunderland Study Abroad Scholarship (Elementary or Secondary Education majors)
Dr. Ray and Mrs. Marjorie Sunderland Study Abroad Scholarship is for undergraduate students majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education who desire to complete a student teaching assignment in an educational setting outside the United States of America. First preference is given to students studying in England, Scotland, or Wales. Students must complete the FAFSA to be considered for this scholarship. This is a one-year-only scholarship.
Edwin L. Herr Study Abroad Scholarship
The Edwin L. Herr Study Abroad Scholarship is for students with 30 credits and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, participating in Shippensburg University’s Study Abroad program. Preference will be given 1. students enrolled in the John L. Grove College of Business 2. graduates from the Carlisle Area School District. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. This is a one-year-only scholarship.
Steven E. Ketterer Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship
The Steven E. Ketterer Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship is for students intending to study abroad who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. This is a one-year-only scholarship.
Walker Foreign Language Study Abroad Scholarship (Global Languages and Cultures Department)
For students in the Modern Language Department with 45 credits and a 2.8 cumulative GPA who intend to participate in Shippensburg University’s study abroad program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. Preference is given to students majoring in 1. Spanish 2. any other foreign language. This is a one-year-only scholarship.
