Student Media Organizations
Student media organizations at Shippensburg University help students develop hands-on skills as well as teamwork and leadership experience. Student-led media organizations are key to preparing students for life after graduation.
Our students are passionate about covering sporting events, producing weekly newscasts, reporting for the campus community, hosting radio shows and podcasts, attending conferences, creating content for clients and making a difference in our community.
All students must participate in at least one student media organization in order to meet their student media requirements. Current students can check D2L for a complete list of requirements. Students can join student media at any time to start building their resumes and portfolios.
Upon completion of COM 445: Professionalism & Ethics, students will build an online professional portfolio to showcase their student media work. Students can use their portfolios when applying for jobs, graduate school, and more.
