Chemistry Programs

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry's chemistry program is certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS). The chemistry major allows for a Bachelor of Science (BS) and several concentrations are available. Additionally, minors in chemistry and biochemistry are available.

All chemistry majors will take a comprehensive examination in their junior year at a time and place designated by the department. A satisfactory performance in all areas of this examination is a requirement for departmental recommendation and ACS certification.

The undergraduate catalog details specific program requirements.
