Facilities
Huber Art Center
The Huber Art Center has over 180,000 square feet of studios, a lecture classroom, two art galleries, critique and multipurpose rooms, and spaces for photographing art work and assembling professional presentations. Studios include professional facilities in Art Education, Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture.
Completely renovated, and an 80,000 square foot addition added in 2010-2011, the Huber Art Center also houses the Art & Design Department office and offices for all Art & Design faculty.

Computer Lab
The Graphic Design Lab is located on the third floor of the Huber Art Center, studio 310, and functions as both a classroom for all Graphic Design courses and as a place for students, enrolled in art courses, to work on studio assignments. The lab is open only to art students and students who are enrolled in at least one art studio course. There are a total of 20 student workstations in each lab, and one system for the professor during class. All of the Lab's systems are high definition widescreen Apple iMacs.
Students are free to bring in their laptop to use as there is direct connectivity, via a network cable, to the lab's network resources.
Lab Hours
Current hours are posted at the lab. The lab is closed when classes are in session and when the university is closed. This includes inclement weather and all holidays/breaks. The lab is staffed with knowledgeable student assistants.
Printers
In addition to the workstations, the lab is equipped with a full color laser printer and a black and white laser proofing printer. A HP z3100ps GP wide-format printer capable of producing high resolution prints 44" wide and many feet in length, is also available.
Software
The lab is equipped with resident Apple software on the Mac operating system. Multiple applications are installed especially for the graphic design courses.

- iLife Suite (includes iMovie, iDVD, iWeb, iPhoto, GarageBand, iWork, Pages, Numbers, Keynote)

The Kauffman Gallery
The SU Kauffman Gallery is named for Gertrude Kauffman, Chairperson of the art department, 1937 - 1970, and is located in the Huber Art Center, 201.
The Kauffman Gallery presents a diversity of visual art exhibitions throughout the calendar year, from nationally and regionally recognized artists to exhibitions by the SU Art & Design faculty and SU art students. Our goal is to bring quality visual art to the Cumberland Valley, visual art that is challenging and expands our sense of self, community, and the world in which we live.

The Brindle Gallery
The Brindle Art Gallery is named for Mary B. and Ernest W. Brindle. Both longtime supporters of the Department of Art & Design, and loyal alumni of SU; Class of 1947.
