MBA Program

Technology

Video conferencing technology provides students with the opportunity to attend class at multiple sites. Two-thirds of each course is taught in an electronic classroom and delivered via video conferencing technology; thus providing students the opportunity to interact with the professor and other students face-to-face from multiple sites. Students spend two-thirds of each course in the electronic classroom and one-third on web-based activities, providing students with flexibility and convenience in completing coursework. Each class meeting is videotaped, so that when students cannot attend class due to work requirements, they may view the missed class online via video streaming. Employers desiring to have their electronic conference room added as a videoconferencing site for the Shippensburg MBA program should contact the MBA director.

All students must be computer literate and have routine access to the Internet in order to complete the 1/3 web-based component of the program.  Many courses in the program require the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and students must have access to the Windows/PC version of Office 2016 or newer. The Mac versions of these applications will not meet the requirements for some courses.

Please note that all students are expected to have a laptop loaded with Microsoft Office that they can bring to class. For your convenience, Microsoft Office and all other required applications are also available in campus computer labs.
