Types of Holds
A hold against your academic record may prevent you from registering for or dropping/withdrawing from classes. It may also prevent you from ordering your official transcript. The legend below will assist you in locating the appropriate contact information to clear the specific hold from your record.
Undergraduate degree seeking students with holds that prevent registration must contact their dean’s office to explore their options for withdrawing from a class. Undergraduate non-degree students and graduate students with holds that prevent registration must complete the Withdrawal Request Form to request a withdrawal from a class.
Currently active students may check for holds by following the steps noted below:
· Sign in to the myShip Experience portal.
· Navigate to the Student – Quick Access card.
· Click on Student Quick Links.
· Click on My Profile.
· Click on Holds link in upper right corner.
