Dr. Michael Levinstein, Assistant Professor
Dr. Levinstein (Dr. Lev) joined the University in the fall of 2019 having worked at the University of Pittsburgh, Hebrew College, Harvard University, Kent State University and the University of Akron. Throughout his career, Dr. Lev has focused his professional and scholarly activities on student access, academic success and degree completion of underrepresented and underprepared students.
Dr. Lev serves as the Director of Exploratory Advising and Advisor Development, advises undergraduate Exploratory students and Ship Start students and serves as the New Student Orientation Academic Coordinator. Originally from Havertown, PA, Dr. Lev now lives in Carlisle with his wife and four children, plays guitar and enjoys hiking. A personal goal over the next few years is to hike the Appalachian Trail from the Maryland border to the Susquehanna River, one segment at a time.
