New Program or Program Revision


On www.ship.edu/ucc select "Submit Course Proposal"

On Proposal page select category and status as appropriate. Example:

New course

First screen

  1. College
  2. Department (or program if interdisciplinary)
  3. Program title
  4. Sponsor
  5. Sponsor email
  6. Proposed Implementation Date
  7. Proposed Revision
  8. (List and explain all changes.)

  9. Attach copy of current program (if a program revision)
  10. Attach copy of proposed program
  11. Justification
  12. Student Learning Outcomes
  13. Sponsor Phone
  14. How will this change or addition affect program resources?  Will additional sections of courses need to be added?  What equivalent sections of courses will be deleted?
  15. Will this change or addition affect resources of other departments?  If so, how?  Provide details regarding impact.  (Consult with other departments prior to making proposal.)
  16. How will this program be assessed?
  17. Attach appropriate forms (new courses, course revisions) involved in the program revision.
  18. Does this program revision or addition require Board of Governors or Chancellor Approval or Notification?
    • Chancellor notification is required for:
      • New minor when major exists
      • New concentration
      •   
    • Chancellor approval is required for: 
    • Board of Governors approval is required for:
      • New bachelors, masters, or doctoral program
      •
