Alertus Emergency Desktop Messaging
Shippensburg University utilizes a variety of methods to alert employees, students, and contractors of any on-campus emergencies. One method is via a full-screen computer notification system known as Alertus.
Alertus is already installed on all university-owned computer workstations. It is also available to install on devices that are personally owned by faculty, staff, students, or contractors.

Once Alertus is installed, it will run in the background in your system tray (Windows) or in the menu bar (macOS). Any emergency alerts that are issued by the university will show up on your computer automatically.
