We provide support and services related to voice communications, voice messaging, local and long-distance dialing, data wiring, cable television and related telecommunications services.

Mission

The Telecommunications Office is committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective telecommunications services to the University community. In an ever-changing environment such as telecommunications, small changes may have huge impacts. It is our desire to stay abreast of these changes and facilitate comfortable cost-effective alternatives for our users and fiscal responsibility to the University.

The Equipment

Shippensburg University owns and operates its own computerized PBX (Private Branch Exchange). The University uses a VoIP Cisco Unified Communications system. This system leverages the existing network allowing for easy expansion and moving of equipment.
