Logging Into D2L

In order to log into D2L, you will need a University provided email account set up with your password.

As a new instructor you will need to obtain a University ID and a library card. Your department will help you obtain your email account. Once your email account is established, you will need to make sure that your name is listed as the instructor in the courses you are teaching. The information transfer process may take between 24 to 48 hours and you will not have access to your D2L course(s) until your name is propagated through the University, Info.Ship, and D2L systems.

Established instructors do not have to go through this process, and you should automatically be able to access their new courses once they have been generated by the D2L System.

Millersville Student Login

If you are a Millersville student taking a course taught by a Shippensburg Faculty you'll need to login to the Shippensburg D2L Brightspace instance. This guide will show you how to login using your Millersville email credentials.

Accessing Shippensburg University

1. Open a Browser and navigate to d2l.ship.edu.

2. Click the Millersville Logo.

3. Enter your Millersville Login/Email Credentials.

4. You'll then find yourself on the main organizational page for Shippensburg Brightspace. You can access your courses by clicking the Waffle Icon in the top right or scrolling down to the Courses Widget under Announcements.

Accessing D2L Via Guest Login

Overview: Typically all users access the Shippensburg Brightspace (D2L) instance through single sign on using the Shippensburg icon at d2l.ship.edu. If single sign on is unavailable due to maintenance or other reason then users may still access their courses by using the Guest Login link instead. The steps below will show you how to login to D2L using this method in the event that you are unable to login via Single Sign on.

Logging Into Brightspace (D2L) Using Guest Login.

1. Open a browser and navigate to d2l.ship.edu

2. Click Guest Login.

3. Enter Shippensburg Username and Password

Note: your username is everything before the @ symbol in your Shippensburg email address.

4. Click Login
