Green Dot Bystander Intervention Overview Workshop

At Shippensburg University, we want to see a permanent reduction in power-based personal violence experienced by members of our community. In order to achieve this goal, the Green Dot violence Prevention Strategy is designed to create and establish two cultural norms on college campuses:

  • Power-based personal violence will not be tolerated.
  • Everyone has a role to maintain a safe campus.

We are pleased to invite you to attend a 75-minute workshop that will introduce you to the basic elements of Green Dot, focusing specifically on the vital role that campus employees play in establishing and reinforcing the culture within which students exist.

The workshop is designed to help faculty, staff and administrators understand the expanded definition of the bystander and to equip you with knowledge and skills to integrate these key behaviors within your current job functions.

We understand that cultural norms do not change overnight. The Green Dot Prevention Strategy seeks to engage the campus community in new behaviors through awareness, programming, and education.

Please RSVP at the link below and sign up for one of the workhops to be held this spring.
