Undergrad Commencement Inclement Weather Advisory


Due to the forecasted inclement weather and out of an abundance of caution, the Saturday, May 9 undergraduate commencement ceremony will be moved to Heiges Field House and held as two separate ceremonies.

Graduates of the John L. Grove College of Business and the College of Education and Human Services will participate in the 11:00 a.m. ceremony. Graduates in this ceremony should report to Heiges Field House by 9:30 a.m. No ticket is required for graduates attending the ceremony.

Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences will participate in the 3:00 p.m. ceremony. Graduates in this ceremony should report by 1:30 p.m. No ticket is required for graduates attending the ceremony.

Each graduate received tickets for their guests, and only ticket holders will be permitted in Heiges Field House. Tickets do not guarantee a specific seat, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors for guests will open at 9:00 a.m. for the 11:00 a.m. ceremony. Doors for guests will open at 1:00 p.m. for the 3:00 p.m. ceremony, though this opening may be briefly delayed as crews prepare the space.

  Ship Chemistry featured on American Chemical Society Show

Their last video about Mexican Coke made a bold claim: that Mexican Coke has no (unhydrolyzed) sugar in it. Two Shippensburg University chemistry professors called them on that claim, so George visited Ship to run definitive tests on its instruments … and accidentally discovered that Coke is doing something they haven’t told ANYONE about.
