Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management

Start a business, work for a corporation, launch a green party, lead a nonprofit, or create new innovative products. With Entrepreneurship, the possibilities are limitless.

Shippensburg is the only university in Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to offer a BSBA in Entrepreneurship.  Thus, we compete with schools such as Penn State, Pitt, and Temple.

The program has two tracks/majors:

  1. New Value Creation (traditional entrepreneurial startup)
  2. Innovation Management (value creation within a corporation/organizational setting)

Entrepreneurship is what powers the economy and you will develop the skills and contacts necessary to make ideas real. This program gives you a broad skill set for traditional venture startup, innovation management and lean entrepreneurship. You will learn to recognize opportunities and convert new ideas into business plans with a focus on implementation. The program also helps you understand risk and develop an entrepreneurial perspective to overcome challenges and achieve success. You'll also receive a thorough background in marketing, management and contemporary economic theory.

The Entrepreneurship, B.S.B.A. provides customized paths for success in specific business systems, including:

  • New ventures
  • Franchises
  • Corporate ventures
  • Socially responsible companies
  • Green startups
  • Family-controlled enterprises
  • Lean startups
  • Innovation management within a corporate environment
