Student Financial Aid Portal

Activate your Ship account and set a password by following the instructions in Step 1. If you have already done this, proceed to Step 2.

Step 1: To activate your Ship Account and set a password:

• Log in to your Ship Admissions Portal
• Follow the instructions under "Activate Your Ship Account"

 Step 2: For step by step instructions on accessing your financial aid requirements or aid offer, click on the options below.

1. Log in with your Ship email and password that you created.
2. For ACCEPTED STUDENTS click on the ACCEPTED STUDENTS tab.  For CONFIRMED STUDENTS click on the STUDENT tab and Paying for College.
3. Under Financial Aid Links, click on Financial Aid Home to view your Unsatisfied Requirements and when prompted click on the appropriate aid year (e.g.,22-23 or 23-24).
4. A list of necessary documents (and instructions) will be shown.  
5. If your FAFSA is selected to "Verify", you will click on the link to https://ship.studentforms.com to create your account and view your Financial Aid tasks. Click here for additional instructions.  Upload all required documents as soon as possible. 

1. Log in with your Ship email and password that you created.
2. For ACCEPTED STUDENTS click on the ACCEPTED STUDENTS tab. For CONFIRMED STUDENTS click on the STUDENT tab and Paying for College. 
3. If you have received a financial aid offer email, Under Financial Aid Links, click on Financial Aid Home. When prompted click on the appropriate aid year (e.g. 22-23 or 23-24).
4. Click on the AWARD OFFER tab to view your financial aid offer. All the aid currently offered will be listed. 
5. You must ACCEPT your loan (either the full amount or a partial amount) or DECLINE your federal direct student loans offered for each payment period and click SUBMIT. All grants and scholarships are automatically in the “accepted” status.
6. For any Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans you have accepted you will need to complete BOTH Entrance Counseling AND a MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE (MPN) if you are a first time borrower at Shippensburg University. (Please note, under REQUIREMENTS in Banner for any Direct Loan, only the Entrance Counseling requirement will appear. After you complete the Entrance Counseling, you MUST also complete the Master Promissory Note.) If you wish, you can complete both these requirements now at https://studentaid.gov. Allow processing time after you have completed these documents for them to appear as received in myShip.
