About the CUB

Ceddia Union Building facade

Staff -- Hours of Operation

The Ceddia Union Building, occupied in 1971, serves as the center for most non-academic university functions and as an extension to the university as a whole. A major addition was completed in 1992, doubling the size of the building and providing space for the University Bookstore and Career Development Center. Formerly known as the Cumberland Union Building, the CUB underwent a name change in the summer of 2005 in honor of retired University President, Dr. Anthony F. Ceddia.

In December 2012, the CUB completed another major renovation and expansion project, adding new dining facilities and retail locations, a new bookstore, new administrative and student group office spaces, lounges and social spaces, new meeting and conference rooms, event spaces, and a full service UPS store. The CUB has incorporated energy efficiency within the building design and is in the process of obtaining the Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certification.

The CUB is a second home for students away from their residence halls and off campus housing. This building is a place for you to hang out, connect with friends, attend various events and activities, have a meal or get a snack and, most importantly, it's the students' building.
