Centers for Excellence

Centers for Excellence logoLocated at 29 East King Street, the SU Centers for Excellence provides greater connections between campus and the local community, essentially “moving the front door” of the university to downtown. Established in 2021, the Centers for Excellence is home to the Charles H. Diller Jr. Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation,  Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition, and Center for Land Use and Sustainability. Through the Centers for Excellence, students can develop hands-on experience, have the opportunity to network with community partners, and learn how to give back to the community.

Serving the Community

The Centers for Excellence location makes it easier for both the Diller Center and CLUS to carry out their missions. Additional student work spaces and meeting rooms provide the opportunity for students to learn and collaborate. The downtown location facilitates meeting with community organizations, whether as clients, experts, collaborators, or funders. The Centers for Excellence directly supports our four institutional priorities: student success, how we tell our story, interacting with our community, and quality.
