Add or Change a Meal Plan Online
If you would like to choose a meal plan, change your meal plan, or add flex dollars to your account, you can make these changes online by following the simple steps below.
You will not be able to choose or change a meal plan for a semester until the billing has occurred for that semester.
- Go to myShip. Login using your Ship email and password
- Go to Student
- Choose Paying for College in the drop-down menu
- Click on View/Change Meal Plan
- You should be on the MyHousing page
- Click on the hamburger menu (three line icon) at the top of the page
- Click on Dining
- Click on Dining Plans
- Under Select a Meal Plan, click on the radio button beside the meal plan that you would like to add.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Purchase Meal Plan
- A confirmation box will appear on the page.
- Go to myShip. Login using your Ship email and password
- Go to Student
- Choose Paying for College in the drop-down menu
- Click on View/Change Meal Plan
- You should be on the MyHousing page
- Click on the hamburger menu (three line icon) at the top of the page
- Click on Dining
- Click on Dining Plans
- Click on Purchased Meal Plans to expand the box. You may need to click on the term drop-down menu to select Fall 2024.
- Click on the Change My Meal Plan drop-down to view the available meal plans.
- Click on the radio button beside the meal plan that you would like to switch to.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Purchase Meal Plan.
- A confirmation box will appear on the page.
- Go to myShip. Login using your Ship email and password
- Go to Student
- Choose Paying for College in the drop-down menu
- Click on View/Change Meal Plan
- You should be at the MyHousing page
- Click on the hamburger menu (three line icon) at the top of the page
- Click on Dining
- Click on Dining Plans
- Under Purchase Points, click on Add Points.
- Under the Point Type drop-down menu, select Additional Flex Dollars.
- Under the Point Plans drop-down menu, select the amount of additional flex you would like to add.
- Click Add
- A confirmation box will appear on the page.
** Please note: you must have a meal plan to add to additional flex. If you do not want a plan with meals, you must add a Flex Only plan, which includes an initial $100 minimum balance. Please refer to the instructions on How To Add A Meal Plan Online. After a meal plan or Flex Only plan is added, additional flex may be added in increments of $25.
You must pay for additional flex before it will be activated.
- Go to myShip. Login using your Ship email and password
- Go to Student
- Choose Paying for College in the drop-down menu
- Click on Account Information/Pay now and select the Term you want to view
- Click on Account Detail for Term
- Click on Pay Now
- You will be directed to Official Payments (credit card / E-payment vendor) to make your payment
Additional flex may be added online at any time throughout the semester. To activate your additional flex, you must pay for the flex or have financial aid to cover the cost. Flex can be added in increments of $25.
You may change your meal plan online from the time of semester billing through the Sunday before the start of the semester. After the semester begins, you can only make changes to your meal plan through the Student Accounts Office. You can increase your meal plans any time during the semester. You are only permitted to decrease your meal plan through the 2nd week of the semester.
