Accessing Wikis, Blogs, and Journals

Your instructor will have created a link to the Wiki, Blog or Journal in the Content Area of your course within D2L.

Accessing the Journal or  Blog

1. Click on the Content link in the Navigation bar.
2. Find the link to the Wiki, Blog, or Journal in the Content section.
3. Click on the link.
   
    
4. For Blogs and Journals, click on the Add New Entry button.
5. Click on the Continue button when the date appears.
6. Click inside the text box and type the desired text.
7. The text box control functions are outlined below.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
    
8. Click on the Save button after completing the work on the page.
 

Accessing Wikis

Your instructor may have already created pages for each individual group or you may have to create your own page.  

1. If the pages are listed in the right-side of the browser window, click on the appropriate page.
2. Click on the Edit button to add text and graphics to that page.
3. If the pages are not listed on the right-side of the browser windoe, click on the Add New Page button to a page to the wiki.
   
    
4. Enter a title for the page and click on the Continue button. The new wiki page appears.
5. Enter content in the Text area, then click on the Save or Save & Exit button.
   
   
    
1. To Edit a page, click on the Edit link.
2. To View the page history, click on the History link
3. To Lock a page, click on the Lock link, if available.
4. To Delete a page, click on the Delete link.
6. To change the order of pages click on the Edit link next to the word Pages. 
7. Click on the Edit link to edit a wiki page.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
    
8. Click on the Save button after completing the work on the page.
